New life and Death, well, they’re somewhat the same
And what’s in-between, it has no name.
We walk around in the light, in the dark
Thinkin’ we know what’s real, but we’re not that smart.
We think we know much, it’s a common confusion
But what we do know is a stinking illusion
I can think when I look in a mirror that I see
A reflection staring back that represents me.
Just what do we know? We know nothing at all.
What we think’s big could really be small.
And why do we think with our eyes we can see
All of our options of how life could be?
Sometimes I just think that if we were all blind
We’d look to our hearts and not just our minds
To find what is real and right in this place
And see what’s real truth just by reading a face.
It’s time to find truth through shadow and light
Put all senses to work using all of our might,
And trust hearts and feelings, not just our words
‘Cause then we’ll be free to soar like the birds.
